Import, Export & Bulk Delete

To access the Import/Export/Delete page, click on the Import/Export link in the left navigation of the Extension Settings. Or click here.

Export

• To export Tools select the items that you want to export, and then press the EXPORT button.
• Selecting/deselecting the checkbox in the header row will select/deselect all the items.
• A .json file will be downloaded to your computer. You can use this as a backup, or to share Tools with coworkers.

Import

• To import Tools press the IMPORT button, read and acknowledge the warning, and then select a .json file to import
• Only Ask Steve .json files will work
• It's good practice to export/backup your current configuration before importing new Tools.

Delete

• To delete Tools select the items that you want to delete, and then press the DELETE button.
• Selecting/deselecting the checkbox in the header row will select/deselect all the items.
• Confirm deletion and your items will be deleted.
• You should feel free to delete any Tools that you don't want or need! You can always add them back later from the Tool Library

Pro Tip

The Ask Steve .json files are just text files that can be edited, so if you need to make bulk changes you can export, make your changes, and then re-import.
