Ask Steve v2.0 continues our efforts to make the power of Ask Steve accessible with 1-click. In this release that's primarily achieved by adding all the capabilities of [Skill Buttons](/docs/skill-buttons) to the new [Floating Skill Buttons](/docs/floating-skill-buttons), and removing the old Skill Buttons from the product. 

Floating Skill Buttons are now a very powerful tool to enable 1-click access to your Skills on any site. They can be configured to only show on specific sites, you can style them, pull data from the current text selection, the current page, or a specific part of a page, and more.

## Get charts without leaving the web page that you're on
* Run the "Chart this for me" Skill on any text or table selection, or an entire page
* Pick the type of chart that you want and add any additional instructions
* Wait while Steve figures out the best way to represent your data and generates a chart for you!
* You can resize the floating panel or the chat panel to enlarge the chart
* Click on the chart to see it at full size and download it
* Note: different LLM models may work very differently!

## Try out the Ask Steve Writing Helper today
* Ask Steve now adds a small transparent icon to the top right of any multi-line textfield. 
* Click on the icon to bring up the [Writing Helper](/docs/writing-helper)
* If there's no text it will help you write something. If there is, it will help you rewrite or analyze it. 
* Unlike many of the other writing helpers on the market that give you a very limited set of options ("more formal", "more friendly"), you can do **ANYTHING YOU WANT**. Ask it to improve your email. Or translate it. Or add emoji to it. Or analyze it for bias. Or add a joke about alligators in the middle somewhere. Or make a reusable Skill that uses several examples of your writing style to rewrite the text in your personal style. Anything you can ask an LLM to do, you can now do right where you're writing. 
* `Enter` gives you the results in a floating panel so you can review and edit if you like. 
* `Command-Enter` (or `Control-Enter` on Windows/ChromeOS) overwrites the existing text if you're feeling lucky. 
* `Command-Z` (or `Control-Z` on Windows/ChromeOS) while the Writing Helper is open tries to UNDO back to the last text. 
* Temporarily get rid of it with a right-click, permanently turn it off in the [Settings](/docs/settings).
